Poshan Project Manjakote Announces Anganwadi Recruitment 2026

Advertisement for Recruitment under Phase-V of SANGINIS (Anganwadi Workers) and SAHAYIKAS (Anganwadi Helpers) for vacancies as on 30th September 2025 in various Anganwadi Centres of Poshan Project Manjakote.

Applications are invited on the prescribed format (Annexure “A”) from eligible candidates for engagement of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) on honorarium basis for the vacant posts at Anganwadi Centres under Poshan Project Manjakote.

Details of Vacant Posts :

Vacancies are available at Anganwadi Centres located in Panchayat/ward areas including Changwai, Jaker, Nala and Manti for the posts of Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper.

Important Dates :

Approval for the recruitment has been received from Mission Director, Mission Poshan J&K vide letter No. MD/Poshan/47242-52 dated 24-12-2025 for filling up of Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi Helper vacancies.

Date of commencement of submission of applications : 03-01-2026

Last date for submission of applications : 18-01-2026

Eligibility Criteria :

I. For Anganwadi Workers (Sanginis)

Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.

Only women candidates aged between 18 and 37 years as on 01-01-2026 are eligible.

Candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward (Panch/ward) where the Anganwadi Centre is located.

Name of the candidate must appear in the latest voter list of the ward; this shall be the only proof of residence.

If the candidate’s name appears in the voter list along with her parents, an unmarried certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar is mandatory.

Minimum qualification is 10+2 and maximum graduation.

Preference shall be given to candidates having 10+2 qualification available within the ward.

If no suitable candidate is available within the ward, candidate from the nearest ward within the Panchayat/MC may be considered with approval of Mission Director, Poshan J&K.

Selection shall be purely on merit based on 10+2 marks.

In case of tie, the older candidate will be preferred.

Graduation qualification will not be considered for merit.

Candidates from families of retiring AWWs/AWHs shall get additional two percent points.

II. For Anganwadi Helpers (Sahayikas)

Candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K.

Only women candidates aged between 18 and 37 years as on 01-01-2026 are eligible.

Candidate must be a resident of the same Panch/ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.

Name must appear in the latest voter list of the ward.

If name appears with parents in voter list, unmarried certificate from Tehsildar is required.

Minimum qualification is matriculation; preference will be given to candidates with qualification below 8th standard.

Selection shall be purely on merit among married women candidates.

If no married candidate is available, unmarried candidate may be considered.

Applications on the prescribed format (Annexure “A”), complete in all respects, along with self-attested copies of the following documents must reach the Office of CDPO, Manjakote, near PHC Manjakote, by hand or through registered post on or before 18-01-2026:

Domicile Certificate

Date of Birth Certificate

Academic qualification certificates with marks sheets

Copy of updated voter list showing name in concerned Panch/ward

Unmarried certificate from concerned Tehsildar (if applicable)

Copy of Ration Card (E-Ticket only)

Affidavit as per format (Annexure-B)

Proof of being from family of retiring AWW/AWH (if applicable)

Passport size photograph

Aadhaar Card/Voter ID

Document Verification :

Shortlisted candidates shall appear for document verification with original documents and self-attested photocopies. Candidates must possess the prescribed academic qualification and other conditions on or before the last date of application.

Failure to produce required documents shall lead to cancellation of candidature. Applications not fulfilling eligibility conditions shall be rejected without notice.
