In pursuance of Government Order No. 307-JK(HME) of 2022 dated 18-05-2022 regarding the creation of posts for the establishment of Government Medical College, Handwara, and in terms of S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020, online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement against Non-Gazetted (Technical) posts of Junior Staff Nurse on an Academic Arrangement Basis.
The initial engagement shall be for a period of one (01) year, which may be extended up to a maximum of six years, subject to satisfactory performance, conduct, and availability of posts, or until regular selection/promotion is made, whichever is earlier.

MODE OF APPLYING (MANDATORY STEPS)
Applicants must follow this two-step process :
1. Online Registration: Access the application portal via www.gmchandwara.co.in.
The link will be live from 28-01-2026.
2. Fee Payment: A fee of Rs 700/- shall be paid through the J&K Bank Challan generated during the Online Application Process. Applicants will need to deposit the payment in the Bank and upload the Bank verified challan on Online Portal for Final submission of their Online Application. No other payment mode will be accepted.
3. Physical Submission: After online submission, the candidate must personally deposit the Printed Application Receipt along with the Office Copy of the Bank Challan at the Office of the Registrar Academics, GMC Handwara.
SELECTION PROCESS :
Selection will be conducted strictly in accordance with S.O. 364 of 2020, Dated: 27-11-2020.
In the event of a large number of applications, the college will conduct a Written Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) based test.
