MeT Predicts Moderate to Heavy Rains, Snow Likely from Tonight in J&K
The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Monday issued an advisory warning of the possibility of moderate to heavy rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, across parts of Jammu and Kashmir from the night of January 26 to the evening of January 27.
According to the advisory, the prevailing weather conditions may adversely impact normal life, particularly in higher reaches where snowfall is expected to intensify during the period.

The MeT has advised farmers across the Union Territory to suspend all farm operations till January 28 in view of the inclement weather forecast.
It further cautioned the general public, especially those residing in or travelling to snow-bound higher reaches, against venturing into sloppy and avalanche-prone areas during the advisory period.
