University of Kashmir OMR-Based Written Test Notice

It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the OMR-based written examination for eligible candidates who have applied for the following posts, advertised vide above cited notice, will be conducted as per the details below:

Dates of Examination :
12th of February 2026 for the position of Surveying Assistant
13th of February 2026 for the position of Photographer
Venue : Examination Halls of Humanities Block, University of Kashmir
Time : 10:30 am
All applicants who have submitted their forms for the above-mentioned posts are advised to appear for the examination as scheduled. Candidates are advised to regularly check official website for updates.

Important Instructions for Candidates :
Mere appearance in the OMR-based test is purely provisional and shall not confer any right to appointment.
Eligibility of candidates shall be determined strictly at the time of document verification.
There will be 80 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and each correct answer will carry 1 mark.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
The time allotted for the test will be 90 minutes.
Candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof along with their Admit Card to the examination venue.
Candidates are advised to reach the venue at least one hour before the scheduled examination time.
The online link for downloading Admit Cards will be made available on the official website of the University of Kashmir w.e.f. 09.02.2026.
The use of mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices is strictly prohibited during the examination.
Unfair means will lead to disqualification.
