Applications are invited from eligible candidates for hiring the services of Psychiatrists under the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), National Health Mission, J&K on a contractual basis as per details given below:

Remuneration
Rs. 85,000/- per month
Selection Criteria :
MBBS: 60 Points
PG Diploma: 10 Points (across the board)
PG Degree: 20 Points (across the board)
Viva-Voce: 20 Points
Note: Item No. (i) shall be awarded on pro-rata basis.
Eligible candidates are advised to submit their completed application form along with all requisite documents to the office of the Mission Director, NHM, J&K, Old Secretariat, Srinagar (Kashmir Division) or to the Regional Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Nagrota, Jammu (Jammu Division).

Terms & Conditions :
Hiring will be purely on a contractual basis. The initial contract shall be up to 31st March of the financial year in which selection is made. Any subsequent yearly extension shall be subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
Preference will be given to candidates from the concerned district. District-wise merit lists shall be prepared and selection will be made on district merit. If no suitable candidate is available from the local district, divisional merit shall be considered.
The candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The application form will be available on the official website www.jknhm.jk.gov.in, which is the only authentic source of information regarding NHM, J&K.
The office shall not be responsible for inconvenience caused due to misleading or false information from any other source/website claiming association with NHM, J&K.
The last date for submission of application forms is 26th February 2026. Applications received after this date shall not be accepted (neither in person nor by post).

Marks sheet of all years / consolidated marks sheet (MBBS) indicating marks of all years
MBBS & PG Degree/Diploma Certificate
Registration Certificate issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) / J&K State Medical Council for MBBS as well as PG Degree/Diploma
Applications not fulfilling the prescribed criteria or without the required documents shall be rejected outright.
The number of vacancies is indicative and may increase or decrease.
