Advertisement for Ad hoc Positions (Contractual)
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for temporary positions under the Ad hoc Project “National Soil Mapping Programme (NSMP)” (SLUSI) operating in the Division of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Jammu.

1. Young Professional-II
Number of Posts: 2
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. Agriculture / Allied Subjects / Environmental Sciences
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Soil Laboratory or Soil-based project (other than degree programme)
Desired Qualification / Experience :
Experience in managing soil studies
Experience in soil and plant analysis
Experience in pot and field experimentation

2. Young Professional-II
Number of Posts: 1
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :
Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geospatial Applications or similar
Minimum 3 years’ experience handling remote sensing and GIS software/data
Desired Qualification / Experience :
Experience in use of R software
Application of Machine Learning models
Experience in GIS and geospatial applications
3. Young Professional-I
Number of Posts: 2
Emoluments: Rs. 30,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :
M.Sc. Agriculture / Allied Subjects / Environmental Sciences with laboratory analytical work
Desired Qualification:
Experience in Soil Laboratory or soil analysis projects
4. Young Professional-I

Emoluments: Rs. 30,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :
Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geospatial Applications or similar
Desired Qualification:
Experience in handling remote sensing and GIS software/data

5. Project Assistant
Number of Posts: 1
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000 per month (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification :
B.Sc. with minimum 3 years’ experience in Government / Autonomous Bodies / University
Desired Qualification:
Experience in office work and basic office software

University reserves the right to cancel the post without reason.
Original documents must be produced at the time of interview.
Legal disputes will fall under Jammu jurisdiction.
