JKBOSE Releases Important Exam Roll Number Circular
Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Issues Circular on Verification of Roll Number and Series on Answer Sheets
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Rehari Colony, Jammu, has issued a circular regarding the verification of roll numbers and question paper series on answer sheets, along with assigning responsibility for the same.
The circular has been shared with all Heads of JKBOSE Sub and Branch Offices and Heads of Institutions functioning as examination centres. They have been directed to instruct centre superintendents to ensure that the correct roll number and question paper series are properly checked on the answer sheets of candidates appearing in the upcoming Annual Regular Examinations (February–March session) for Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th.

Supervisors have been assigned the primary responsibility of confirming that candidates have correctly written their roll number and series before signing the answer scripts. In addition, Deputy Superintendents have been instructed to conduct a compulsory second verification to eliminate any possibility of errors.
Centre superintendents are also required to brief their staff daily and ensure strict adherence to these instructions. They must also carry out random checks to maintain full compliance with the circular.

The circular was issued under reference number PS/JSE/B/JD/2026 and is dated February 16, 2026, and has been signed by the Joint Secretary, Exams, JKBOSE.
