High Speed Internet Services, Prepaid Calling to Be Restored by Evening Across Kashmir
Authorities on Friday said that high speed internet services and prepaid calling across Kashmir will be restored by evening following a review of the prevailing situation, officials said.
The services were suspended on Sunday following the protests over the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Sources within the security establishment told news agency that internet connectivity, and prepaid calling which had been restricted as a precautionary measure in parts of the Valley, will return to normal later in the evening.
Officials said the decision comes after the situation across Kashmir remained largely peaceful throughout the day on Friday.
Notably, internet services were restricted to 2G speed and outgoing prepaid mobile calling services were suspended on Sunday, March 1. (JKNS)
