Online applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) under the project titled “Bond behavior of innovative FRPs and cement based adhesive for strengthening of concrete structures at elevated temperatures” sanctioned by J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

The other details and requirements are given below:

Name of the Position : Research Assistant (RA)

Monthly emoluments : Rs. 20,000/ month (Consolidated)

Job Recruitment in GMC Anantnag

Eligibility :

Essential qualification : 1. B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant degree with 60% marks or above.

Desirable qualification : Masters in Structural Engineering with GATE; Knowledge of Concrete testing at elevated temperatures.

Duration :

Up to 31st July 2026, subject to satisfactory performance, continuation of the project, and availability of funds

Applicants are required to apply online through the university website at http://www.iust.ac.in starting from 11/03/2026 to 29/03/2026. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Terms and Conditions :

i. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and the candidates shall not claim for regular appointments in the university.

ii. The University reserves the right to terminate the contract of non-performing candidates at any time without prior notice.

iii. Candidates will have to produce hard copy of the application form along with self-attested photocopies of certificates and relevant testimonials/ passport size photograph at the time of appearing in the interview.

iv. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates appearing for the interview.

v. The University reserves the right to defer/not to filling up of post advertised here in above, without assigning any reason thereof.

vi. In case candidate wants to withdraw, he/she must serve one-month notice period (or one month salary).

vii. The terms and conditions governing the service shall be as per the rules & regulations of university and/or funding agency (wherever applicable) with amendments from time to time.
