Selection list for the tenure posts of Senior Resident in the Discipline of General Surgery, Government Medical College Anantnag

Notification No.:0 GMCA of 2026 Dated: -03-2026

Whereas, this office vide Advertisement Notice No. 02 GMCA of 2026 dated 22.01.2026 invited applications from the eligible candidates possessing requisite qualification for filling up tenure posts of Senior Resident (in-service/not in-service doctors) in various disciplines of Government Medical College, Anantnag as per Criteria/Policy Guidelines for eligibility/selection of the tenured positions of Senior Residents/Tutors issued vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024; and

Whereas, in response to the aforesaid Advertisement Notice, this office received various application forms in the discipline of General Surgery; and

Whereas, on scrutiny of application forms, it was found that in the department/discipline of General Surgery, the number of applications received were more than the number of available posts and the written test was therefore conducted on 28.02.2026 at Main Campus Dialgam as per Govt. Order No. 382-JК (HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024;

Whereas, the merit list of the candidates who appeared in the said written test was published vide this office notification dated 09.03.2026; and

Now, therefore, in light of the above, the selection list in the aforesaid discipline as indicated in the Annexure A’ to this notification is hereby notified for information to the concerned.

The candidates figuring in the Annexure ‘A’ to this notification are hereby directed to report to the Office of the Principal, Government Medical College Anantnag along with the following documents within 07 days from the date of issuance of this notification, for
submission of online form through Employee Verification System (EVS) for verification of character and antecedents to the concerned doctor(s);
1. Application form (in coloured).
2. Photocopies of all uploaded certificates.

However, if any candidate fails to report to the Office of Principal, Government Medical College Anantnag within the stipulated time, his/her selection in the concerned discipline shall forfeit without any further notice.

Note : Mere issuance of this notification does not entitle any candidate to claim appointment/engagement.
