A spell of unpredictable weather is set to continue in Jammu and Kashmir till March 20, with partly cloudy skies and brief light rain or snow expected today, according to the Met Centre Srinagar.

The next few days, March 18-20, will see generally cloudy conditions with intermittent light to moderate rain or snow at many places, potentially turning heavy in higher reaches of Chenab valley and South Kashmir.

As per the MeT Centre, “The weather is expected to dry up from March 21-25, with another spell of rain or snow likely from March 26-28.”

Travellers and transporters are advised to plan accordingly, as important passes may be affected. There’s also a possibility of thunder and gusty winds, with speeds reaching 40-50 KMPH, and isolated hailstorms . Farmers are best to suspend operations during this period.
