Note : The SECL Apprentice 2026 notification does not provide any age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen or any other category. Only the minimum age requirement of 18 years as on the last date of application (31 March 2026) must be met. Candidates failing to satisfy the minimum age criterion will be ineligible.

Educational Qualification :

Educational and professional qualifications for SECL Apprenticeship 2026 are stream-specific and must be from Government-recognised institutions in full-time regular mode only.

Graduate Apprentices: 4-year B.E./B.Tech / B.Sc. / B.Com / BBA / BCA in relevant discipline.

Technician Apprentices: 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering branch (after 10th or 2 years after 12th with lateral entry allowed; 1-year Diploma not permitted).

Candidates must be registered on NATS 2.0 portal and should not have undergone apprenticeship training earlier or completed one-year employment/service.

Selection Process :

The SECL Apprentice Selection Process 2026 is purely merit-based:

Shortlisting on the basis of Date of Passing (earlier passing gets higher rank)

Tie-breaker: Percentage of marks in Degree/Diploma → 12th/10th marks → Date of Birth

Two separate seniority lists: Level-1 (Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh) and Level-2 (other states)

Document Verification + Medical Fitness Examination (as per Mines Rules 1955 / Apprenticeship Rules 1992)

 

Stipend :

Selected candidates will receive the following monthly stipend as per Rule 11(2) of Apprenticeship Rules 1992:

Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month

Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month

50% stipend paid by SECL and 50% by Government through DBT in Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Eligible candidates can apply for SECL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 by following the steps given below.

First register on NATS 2.0 portal at https://nats.education.gov.in

Visit official SECL website www.secl-cil.in → HRD → Apprentice section and click on the online application link

Complete SECL registration using your NATS-registered email ID

Login and fill all mandatory details in the application form (Basic Information, Educational Details, Photograph & Signature, Bank Details)

Upload required documents (SSC/HSC certificates, Degree/Diploma marksheets & certificates, NATS registration document, Aadhaar, etc.)

Verify all details and click Final Submit before 31.03.2026 (12:00 Midnight)

Take printout of the submitted application for future reference

Applications sent by post, email or any other mode will not be accepted

No change in any data filled in the application form will be entertained after submission

Selected candidates will NOT be absorbed in any regular employment in SECL

No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for document verification or training

Medical fitness certificate must be issued after the date of this notification

OBC certificate issued on or after 01.04.2025 only will be accepted

SECL reserves the right to increase/decrease seats or cancel the entire process without notice
