LPG eKYC (Aadhaar Biometric Authentication) – Important Clarification
This is NOT a new rule. It is part of ongoing efforts by the government.
eKYC is NOT required for all LPG customers.
It is only for those who have not completed eKYC yet.
If you are a non-PMUY customer and have already done eKYC earlier →
No need to do it again.
PMUY customers need to do eKYC:
Once every financial year
Only for receiving DBT subsidy
Applicable after 7 refills (i.e., on 8th & 9th refill)
eKYC is free and can be done from home easily.
Gas supply will NOT be stopped in any case.

Removes fake/duplicate connections
Prevents misuse of LPG
