Traffic Police Advisory For “Jammu Marathon 2026” On 29.03.2026
Through the medium of this Public Notice, the general public/ motorists are hereby informed that on 29.03.2026 (Sunday) “Jammu Marathon-2026” will be organized by Tourism Department J&K. In this connection the following diversions/ restrictions will be made applicable on 29.03.2026 from 0500 Hours to till conclusion of Marathon (11:00 AM expectedly).
ROUTE OF JAMMU MARATHON: –
• ROUTE FOR 21 KM: –
• M.A Stadium-Jewal Theatre-Bhagat Singh Chowk-J.P Chowk – Vivekananda Chowk – Raghunath Mandir – City Chowk – Shalamar – Indira Chowk – K.C Crossing (Down Tube) – Shakuntala Crossing – Rehari – Ambphalla – Manda – Amar Mahal (returning point) – Karan Nagar Cut – Jail Road – CPO Chowk – Radio Station – Atal Chowk – Circular Road – Gujjar Nagar Bridge – P/S Bagh-e-Bahu Crossing – Balidan Stambh – Panama Chowk via Jammu University back Gate Bahu Plaza Gen. Zorawar Singh Chowk (Returning Point) Green Belt Road – Gole Market via Gandhi Nagar Hospital road – Apsara Road Last Morh Gandhi Nagar – Saint Mary’s Garrison Church – Asia Hotel – Kala Kendra – Bikram Chowk – Tawi Bridge – M.A Stadium.

• ROUTE FOR 10 KM: –
• M.A Stadium-Vivekananda Chowk via Gumat-Raghunath Mandir-City Chowk-Indira Chowk – Rehari Gurudwara via B.C Road – Amar Mahal (returning point) – Rehari Gurudwara – Bus Stand – M.A Stadium Jammu.
• ROUTE FOR 05 KM:-
• M.A Stadium – Tawi Bridge – Bikram Chowk – Women College Gandhi Nagar (returning point) – Bikram Chowk M.A Stadium.
DIVERSIONS: –
1. All kind of traffic movement shall remain restricted on the marathon route(s) during the movement of Marathon participants.
2. Vehicles bound from City North towards Railway Station / Jammu Airport/ Satwari/ Kunjwani axis shall adopt the route from Canal Head 4th Tawi Bridge Beli Charana – Military Hospital Satwari and Similarly the vehicles from City South towards City North shall adopt the same route.
3. LMV’s coming from TCP Nagrota towards Manda;’ Panjtirthi shall be diverted from TCP Nagrota/ Sidhra Cut towards Sidhra via Sidhra Bridge during the Jammu Marathon.
4. All vehicles coming from Samba Kathua bound for Nagrota shall follow the route as Kunjwani Chow k Narwal – Qasim Nagar – Nagrota and vice versa.?
5. Tawi Bridge at Sidhra and 4th Tawi Bridge Bhagwati Nagar Jammu shall remain open for movement of General Public during the marathon.
6. PSVs from City South bound for Bagh-e-Bahu shall follow the route from Satwari Kunjwani Narwal – Qasim Nagar Raika Forest Check Post – Bagh-e-Bahu. No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed via Bikram Chowk PHQ Rotary – Bagh-e-Bahu during the Marathon.
7. PSVs from City North bound for Bagh-e-Bahu shall also adopt same route for their convenient movement.
8. Keeping in view examination of JKPSC for various posts on 29.03.2026 at JKPSC Examination Centre Reshamghar Colony Bakshi Nagar Jammu, candidates of first shift i.e. 0930 hours to 1130 hours are requested to plan their travel well in advance and avoid the Marathon route for their convenient movement. They are further informed that in case they face any kind of diversion/ restriction due to Marathon, they shall show their Admit Card to the concerned Traffic Police Officer at the location and will be permitted accordingly.
9. Available Parking Slots for parking of vehicles of participants; –
a. Vehicles of participants coming from City South Jammu shall park their vehicles at Tawi River Front (mandir masjid point) and JDA Parking near Early Times Office.
b. Vehicles of participants coming from City North Jammu shall park their vehicles at Peer Baba Ground. Hockey Ground. Cricket Ground at GGM Science College and Abhinav Theatre Jammu.
General Public is requested to plan accordingly as per diversions during Jammu Marathon. In convenience to General Public is regretted.
