A total of 05 vacancies will be filled for Assistant Manager (IT) posts under RITES Limited Recruitment 2026. Check VC-wise and category-wise vacancy details in the table below.

PwBD Note: 01 post is reserved for PwBD category on horizontal basis under VC No. RG/09/26 (Category-c: 01 post). PwBD candidates in IT discipline identified under Locomotor Disability, Hearing Impairment and Visual Impairment (as per prescribed functional classifications) can also apply against non-reserved posts and will be considered on general merit.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification (All Three Posts – RG/08/26, RG/09/26, RG/10/26): Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/Degree in Engineering in Computer Applications/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation; OR Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Tele Communication/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications. The degree must be recognised by AICTE/UGC or the concerned regulatory body in India.

 

UR/EWS category candidates (and SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts) must have First Class degree with minimum 60% marks. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) applying against reserved posts must have at least 50% marks.

Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in one or more areas mentioned in the Job Description of the respective post.

Job Description – Assistant Manager (IT/Network & Security) – RG/08/26: Review and assess HA firewall configuration and policies; evaluate security posture of core network services (DHCP, DNS, VPN); TCP/IP, Ethernet, iSCSI, Fiber Channel Protocol; EDR solution planning and implementation; DPDP Act compliance; cybersecurity improvements; incident analysis and risk mitigation; Wi-Fi and LAN network setup for 100–250 nodes; DLP/EDR/XDR use case creation; Video Conferencing with Central MCU management; SDWAN setup; Firewall Configuration and Network Management.

Job Description – Assistant Manager (IT/Programming) – RG/09/26: Object-Oriented Programming; Software development and system workflow as per SDLC; Relational Database; SAP S/4 HANA, FIORI, ABAP; Problem-solving techniques in the above domains.

Job Description – Assistant Manager (IT/Data Centre) – RG/10/26: Installing, configuring, tuning, and monitoring Windows Server and Linux servers; IIS, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V configuration; Windows-based scripting for task automation; Remote server administration; VMware vSphere (ESXi and vCenter) and Hyper-V; SAN, backup and storage; batch scripts; infrastructure capacity and performance analysis; regular system maintenance, hardware/software upgrades, physical to virtual migrations; VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtual machine management; enterprise backup software; hardware and software troubleshooting; rack cabling (power, Cat-6, fiber); power, space, and cooling management; monitoring of network devices, precision air-conditioners, UPS, and Building Management System (BMS) in Data Centre.

 

Age Limit : Maximum 32 years as on the last date of submission of application (27.04.2026). Age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC-NCL – 3 years; Ex-Servicemen – years of service rendered + 3 years; J&K Domicile – 5 years; PwBD – 10 years (in addition to SC/ST/OBC-NCL relaxation as applicable); RITES regular/contract employees – 5 years over and above the upper age limit.

Note: Training period (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship, and PhD research experience shall not be counted as part of experience.

 

Salary :

Selected candidates under RITES Limited Assistant Manager (IT) Recruitment 2026 will receive the following remuneration. In addition to Basic Pay, candidates will be paid DA, Fixed/Variable Allowances, Performance Related Pay, Medical facilities, HRA/Lease accommodation, PF contribution, Gratuity as per Gratuity Act, and Post Retirement Medical Scheme.

Pay Scale : INR 40,000 – 1,40,000

Approximate CTC : INR 16.01 Lacs per annum

 

Other benefits include Leaves as per leave rules, Maternity/Paternity Leave, Medical facility, Group Insurance, and Leave Encashment as per company rules applicable to regular employees. The pay will be fixed at the minimum of the scale. Candidates from Government Departments/PSUs are eligible for protection of Basic Pay in accordance with company policy. Appointment will be initially on probation for one year from the date of joining.

Selection Process :

The RITES Limited Assistant Manager (IT) Recruitment 2026 selection will be conducted in three stages:

Stage 1 – Written Test (60% Weightage): There will be 125 objective type questions carrying 1 mark each for a duration of 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS (45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD against reserved posts). PwBD candidates are eligible for compensatory time of 50 minutes. The written test will be conducted at 6 cities across India: Delhi/Gurgaon, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati (all centres except Delhi/Gurgaon are tentative). Candidates must give two centre preferences at the time of online application.

Stage 2 – Document Scrutiny: Based on written test results, documents submitted by shortlisted candidates will be scrutinized by RITES Limited. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview preceded by verification of original documents.

Stage 3 – Interview (40% Weightage): Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies. Weightage: Technical & Professional Proficiency – 30 marks; Personality, Communication & Competency – 10 marks. Minimum qualifying marks in interview: 60% for UR/EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD against reserved posts). There are no minimum qualifying marks required in the aggregate. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to medical fitness examination as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness.

RG/08/26 (IT/Network & Security): Computer Networking Fundamentals; Network Infrastructure Configuration and Management; Network Security and Cybersecurity Practices; Cybersecurity Compliance, Governance and Regulatory Requirements (including DPDP Act); Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Incident Management; Collaboration Infrastructure and Enterprise Systems; Basic Computer Science and Engineering concepts.

RG/09/26 (IT/Programming): Programming Fundamentals and OOP Concepts; Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Relational Database Management Systems (SQL, ACID properties); Problem Solving and Logical Programming; SAP S/4HANA, ABAP and FIORI; Basic Computer Science and Engineering concepts.

RG/10/26 (IT/Data Centre): Server Installation, Configuration and Administration; Windows Server Services and Automation; Virtualization Technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V); Storage, Backup and Disaster Recovery; Infrastructure Monitoring, Maintenance and Performance Management; Data Centre Infrastructure and Hardware Management; Data Centre Facility Systems Monitoring (BMS, UPS, precision AC); Basic Computer Science and Engineering concepts.

Step 1 – Visit Official Website: Go to www.rites.com and navigate to the Career section. Read the complete official notification carefully before applying.

Step 2 – Register and Fill Application Form: Register online in the format available in the Career section. Note down the Registration Number generated by the system for all future reference and communication. Fill in all personal details, educational qualifications, experience details, and category information carefully and correctly.
