Iran has conveyed its response to a United States proposal to end the ongoing conflict, rejecting a temporary ceasefire and instead calling for a permanent end to hostilities, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The response was routed through Pakistan, which has emerged as a key intermediary in ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump struck a mixed tone, offering rare praise for Iran’s military capabilities while reiterating that Tuesday’s truce deadline is ‘final’.
Speaking at the White House Easter Egg Roll alongside First Lady Melania Trump, Trump described Iranians as ‘very tough’ and ‘capable fighters,’ but added that their strength has diminished compared to a month ago, saying the adversary is “not as strong like they were about a month ago.”
