Iran Mojtaba Khamenei in ‘severe’ condition, not involved in decision-making: Report
The 56-year-old cleric is in a “severe” condition and “unable to be involved in any decision making by the regime”, according to a diplomatic memo.
Supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, is unconscious and presently receiving treatment at a hospital in the Iranian city of Qom, according to media reports.

According to a diplomatic memo seen by The Times and based on US and Israeli intelligence assessments, the 56-year-old cleric is in a “severe” condition and “unable to be involved in any decision making by the regime”.
The report further added that Khamenei sustained serious injuries in the same airstrike that killed his father, the erstwhile Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on February 28. As a result, he is unable to run the country and is going through treatment in Qom.
It’s the first time the location of Iran’s supreme leader is revealed.

The city is considered sacred in Shia Islam and is known as the religious capital of the Islamic republic.
