Pakistani media outlets and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) have suggested that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize for their role in facilitating a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran.
US President Donald Trump confirmed the agreement on Tuesday evening, less than two hours before his ultimatum for Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face severe attacks on civilian infrastructure.

“We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated,” he said on Truth Social.
