Engagement of Apprentices for One-year Apprenticeship Training Programme for the year 2026-27

Islamic university of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir invites online applications from the eligible Graduates in General Streams or Diploma in Engineering & Technology Streams for undergoing One-year Apprenticeship Training Programme.

The applicant should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying degree.

The applicant must have completed their qualifying degrees within the last 04 years as on the last date of the advertisement from any recognized Universities / Institutions both within and outside India.

Starting date of Registration of online applications on portal of University / NATS : 15-04-2026

Last Date of submission of online applications on the portal of University / NATS : 30-04-2026

Last Date of submission of hard copies of the downloaded application of University and NATS : 08-05-2026

 

Note : Hard Copies of the Application Form along with photocopies of all the relevant documents including Fee Receipt should be submitted in the Office of the Dean Outreach, Main Campus, Awantipora on Monday to Friday from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays]

 

SHORTLISTING / SELECTION PROCESS :

a) The shortlisting of the candidate shall be done on the basis of the merit of their qualifying degree only.

b) The selection process of the Apprentices shall be based on their Academic merit and the Interview in the ratio of 60:40 (merit of qualifying degree / Interview performance).

c) Preference will be given to the applicants who possess strong communication skills and have computer knowledge including MS-office etc.

d) The selection will be done in a phased manner (as per the requirement).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS :

1. The Apprenticeship Training Programme shall be governed by the Apprentices (Amendment) Rules, 2025, Government of India.

2. The engagement of the Apprentice is for a period of One year only. Further, if need arises the temporary engagement of the Apprentice can be withdrawn by the university at any time without any prioty

3. The engagement of the Apprentice is purely temporary and the candidates shall not claim for continuation beyond the prescribed period and/or regular appointment in the university.

4. The candidates are advised to fill up the online application form carefully. Information not provided under the relevant heads / columns shall not be considered.

5. Hard copy of application form complete in all respects duly supported by self-attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates and testimonials is mandatory to be submitted in the office of the Dean Outreach by or before the last date of submission of hardcopies of the application forms, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be considered
