J&K Govt Revises Diesel Tax Structure

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a notification revising the tax structure on the sale of diesel oil in the Union Territory.

As per the Finance Department notification, tax on diesel will now be levied at the rate of 16 percent minus Rs 2.50 per litre, along with a cess of Rs 1.00 per litre.

The revised rates came into effect on April 11, 2026.
