J&K to Witness Unsettled Weather Till April 19, Dry Spell Expected Later: MeT
Gusty Winds and Thundershowers Likely; Farmers Urged to Halt Field Work
The Meteorological Department has predicted unsettled weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir on April 18 and 19, with a gradual improvement expected thereafter, officials said.
According to MeT Director Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, as reported by news agency, the weather during this period is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with intermittent spells of light rain and thundershowers at many locations across the Union Territory.

He further said that gusty winds with speeds of around 40–50 kmph are likely, and hailstorms may occur at a few places during the forecast period.
From April 20 to 23, weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry.
However, between April 24 and 26, the region may witness mostly dry weather with brief spells of light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places, mainly during afternoon hours.

In view of the anticipated adverse weather, the MeT department has issued an advisory recommending farmers to suspend agricultural operations on April 18 and 19.
