TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 26-04-2026

From 24-04-2026 1800 hrs. to 25-04-2026 1800 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to single lane traffic between Marog and Kishwar Pairah, in addition to the breakdown of 02 HMVs and movement of nomadic herds.

Passengers/LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides, movement of nomadic herds, and ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal which may cause inconvenience to commuters.

NH-44 (NHW)

Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, LMVs/Passenger/HPVs/Private Cars/HMVs (Goods carrier) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44) via Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.
Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline, overtaking wrong lane driving will cause congestion.
Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the road condition.

SFS Convoy Movement

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44) via Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.
They shall move after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244

As per order issued by the SDM Chatro vide No. SDMC/2026-27/67-71 dated 13-04-2026 and the SDM Kokernag vide No. SDMKNG/2025-26/98-101 dated 14-04-2026, subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting clearance signal from ICHP and CSP only LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed to ply from Kishtwar towards Srinagar via Sinthan Top.
These vehicles shall be allowed from PP Pandit between 1000 hrs. to 1500 hrs.
No vehicle shall be allowed after cut-off timing.
TCU Jammu / Ramban / TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the cut-off timing.

SSG ROAD

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, after receiving green signal from road maintenance agencies, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed to ply from Kargil towards Srinagar on Srinagar–Gumri road via Zoji La with cut-off timing.
TCU Srinagar shall be allowed to ply from road maintenance agencies and will notify the cut-off timing.
TCU Srinagar and PCR Kargil will inform all concerned about the cut-off timing.

SFS Convoy Movement

SFS Convoy moving from Kargil towards Srinagar shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic not get disturbed.

Mughal Road

As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Shopian vide No. DMS/ADM/SP-25/28/785-85 dated 22-04-2026 and the District Magistrate, Poonch vide No. DM/PJ/376-91 dated 22-04-2026, and subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement (LMVs followed by HMVs up to 9 tyres only) shall be allowed on Mughal Road from both sides, i.e., from Poonch towards Shopian and vice-versa.
These vehicles shall be allowed from Chandimarh (Buffliaz) towards Shopian between 1000 hrs. to 1700 hrs. and from Peer Ki Gali towards Poonch between 1000 hrs. to 1700 hrs.
No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timings.
TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding the cut-off timings.
