Eligibility Criteria :
Before applying for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026, candidates must ensure they meet all the prescribed eligibility conditions including educational qualification, experience, and other requirements for the respective post. SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in age limit, experience, etc. OBC candidates must submit a certificate stating they do not belong to the creamy layer. The post-wise educational qualification and experience requirements are given below.
Nationality: Eligible Indian Citizens only.
Punjabi/Regional Language: Not applicable; however, application forms must be typed in English/Hindi.
PwBD Typing Exemption: As per DoPT OM No. 14020/1/2014-Estt. (D) dated 22 April 2015, PwBD candidates who are otherwise qualified to hold clerical posts and are certified as being unable to type may be exempted from the typing test subject to furnishing Medical Certificate in prescribed format as Annexure-II.

Age Limit :
For Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026, the age limit for all posts is 18 to 25 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit is the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates of reserved categories as per the prevailing Government instructions. SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in age limit. The category-wise age relaxation is provided in the table below.

All Categories : NIL (No application fee mentioned in the official notification). However, candidates must attach a self-addressed envelope with stamps of Rs. 10/- pasted along with the application.
Selection Process :
The selection process for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026 involves scrutiny of applications, written test, and skill/practical/physical test wherever applicable. All applications will be scrutinised in terms of age limit, minimum qualification, documents and certificates. Eligible candidates will be issued call letters for the written test.
Job Recruitment in Air Force School Jammu
The written test will be based on minimum education qualification. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for skill/practical/physical test wherever applicable. Merely fulfilling basic selection criteria does not automatically entitle a person to be called for test. Selected candidates will be subject to “All India Service Liability”. How to Apply for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026
The application process for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026 is strictly offline. Eligible candidates can apply to any of the Air Force Stations of their choice subject to the vacancies and qualifications. The application as per Annexure-I, duly supported with required documents, must reach the concerned Air Force Station as per choice within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. The step-by-step process to apply offline is given below.
Download and fill the Application Form as per the prescribed Proforma (Annexure-I) given in the advertisement. The application form must be filled/typed in English or Hindi.
Affix a recent passport-size self-attested photograph on the application form. Also attach two passport-size photographs (same as affixed on the form).
Attach self-attested copies of all documents in support of educational qualification, age, technical qualification, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, and Caste Certificate issued by the competent civil authorities in case of SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.
In case of appointment of OBC candidates against reserved quota, their caste should be listed under Central List of OBCs. OBC candidates seeking reservation must submit a certificate to the effect that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer.
In case of ex-serviceman, a self-attested photocopy of the discharge book must be submitted along with the application.
EWS candidates must ensure that the Income & Asset Certificate is valid for Financial Year 2026-2027 (issued on the basis of income for Financial Year 2025-2026).
Attach a self-addressed envelope with stamps of Rs. 10/- pasted. Address should be typed in English/Hindi.
Mention clearly on the envelope: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ________ AND CATEGORY ________”
Send the complete application by post to the concerned Air Force Station/Unit’s postal address within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
Candidates intending to apply for more than one post must submit a separate application for each post.

Eligible candidates who wish to apply for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026 must use the prescribed Application Proforma (Annexure-I) published in the official notification. The application must be duly filled, supported with all required self-attested documents, and sent by post to the concerned Air Force Station/Unit within 30 days from the date of publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.
The centre for examination/skill/practical/physical test will be intimated to the candidate in due course and may be different from the place to which the application was sent. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the written test/skill/practical/physical test. Candidates must bring original certificates and copies of annexure attached with the application at the time of the skill/practical/physical test.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates are advised to read all instructions carefully before applying for Indian Air Force Group C Civilian Recruitment 2026. Non-compliance with any of the instructions may result in rejection of the application. The Air Officer Commanding/Station Commander/Commanding Officer of the concerned Air Force Station has the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. The key instructions are listed below.
Applications received prior to the date of publication of this notification and after the closing date will not be entertained and will be rejected. IAF will not be held responsible for any postal delay.
Separate application for each post should be forwarded. Mention clearly on the envelope “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______ AND CATEGORY _______”.
All documents must be self-attested. Application form must be duly typed in English/Hindi with a recent passport-size photograph.
SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts are not entitled to any relaxation in age limit, experience, etc.
The option for scribe to PwBD candidates will be applicable as per DoPT OM No. 29-6/2019-DD-III dated 10 Aug 2022.
PwBD candidates with temporary disability (falling under “likely to improve” category) as per Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment OM No. 18-25/2024-Policy dated 17 Dec 2025 are not eligible for reservation. Only “progressive, non-progressive or not likely to improve” PwBD candidates are eligible for reservation.
There will be simultaneous conduct of test for all categories. The responsibility of deciding the category for which the candidate would like to appear will be the choice of the applicant himself. No separate exam will be conducted for candidates applying for more than one category if the exams are held on the same date.
The Air Officer Commanding/Station Commander/Commanding Officer has the right to change the number of vacancies/reservation status at any Air Force Station at any time before selection.
Selected candidates will be subject to “All India Service Liability”.
No TA/DA will be paid to attend the written test/skill/practical/physical test.
Candidates must bring original certificates, copies of annexure attached with application, educational qualification/technical qualification and experience certificates at the time of skill/practical/physical test. The crucial date for determining validity of documents/certificates will be on or before the last date of receipt of application.
