J&K Govt Hikes Passenger Fare

In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 67 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act No. 59 of 1988), and in partial modification of notification SRO-97 dated 19th March, 2021, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hereby directs the Transport Commissioner, J&K to fix the maximum chargeable fare in respect of the following types of commercial passenger vehicles as per the percentage of fare hike (over and above the rates as notified vide notification SRO-97 dated 19th March, 2021) shown against each category:–
