Advertisement for the Post of ‘Junior Research Fellow’ in DST Inspire sponsored Research Project
Applications are hereby invited from eligible and interested candidates for two positions of ‘Junior Research Fellow’ in the research project entitled “Harnessing CRISPR/Cas9 to rescue saffron from corm-rot disease in Jammu & Kashmir Karewas: Insights into nematode-fungus association and economic impacts” sponsored by DST INSPRE.
The engagement will be purely contractual for a total duration of three years, with continuation subject to satisfactory performance and annual renewal.

Position : Junior Research Fellow
(Two positions)
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. Botany with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGP grade.
Desirable :
Knowledge of tissue culture in saffron or cash crops of Kashmir.
Good research skills in plant molecular biology or plant nematology.
Qualified CSIR-UGC NET exam or its equivalent.
Age : 28-30 year

1. Applicants should note that the appointment is to be made purely on temporary basis. The candidate will have no right or claim for any regular appointment in the University.
2. The engagement may be terminated at any time by the University without any reason by giving a notice of one week.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending an interview or at the time of joining the post.
