Selection Process :

Selection is multi-stage: initial academic screening, followed by a written test if required, and a personal interview. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted by email – no hard copy communication is sent at any stage.

Stage 1 – Initial Screening

All applications are screened based on academic records, qualifications, experience, and other parameters declared in the online application. Only candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria are screened in for further selection. C-DAC reserves the right to raise the minimum cut-off if the number of applicants is significantly higher than vacancies.

Stage 2 – Written Test (if applicable)

Depending on the number of screened-in applicants and centre requirements, a written/skill test may be conducted. This is at the discretion of the respective C-DAC centre. Candidates will be informed through email only. No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test.

Stage 3 – Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview by the respective C-DAC centre. The interview call letter will be sent via email only. Mere receipt of an interview call letter does not confirm selection or acceptance of candidature. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Eligibility Criteria :

All candidates must hold qualifications from AICTE/UGC-approved colleges or recognized universities. Candidates in their final semester may apply but can join only after clearing the examination with the required minimum marks.

Age Limit :

Upper age limits vary by position level and are calculated as on the last date of application, i.e., 20 June 2026. SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and Government employees are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India norms.

Candidates looking for a permanent government job – all positions are purely contractual with no guarantee of regular appointment in C-DAC.

Candidates whose qualification is from a college/university NOT approved by AICTE/UGC or not recognized by the Central/State Government – their candidature will be rejected.

Candidates unable to produce CGPA-to-percentage conversion proof from their university if their institution uses a CGPA/letter grade system.

Common Mistakes / What to Check Before Applying for C-DAC JIT June 2026 Recruitment?

Applying to the wrong centre – each centre has a separate advertisement and separate application link; applying on one centre’s form does not cover other centres.

Not submitting a separate application for each post – candidates applying for multiple positions must submit individual applications for each one.

Uploading a resume in the wrong format – only PDF format (max 500 KB) is accepted; photographs must be in .jpg format (max 400 KB).

Not noting the unique application number generated after submission – this is needed for future reference and tracking.

Government/PSU/Autonomous body employees forgetting to forward their signed application through proper channel to the respective HRD section – those not doing so must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer at the time of interview.

These are CONTRACTUAL positions – no right to regular or permanent employment in C-DAC is created by engagement under this recruitment.

Candidates may be deputed or transferred from one project to another at any C-DAC project location across India based on organizational requirement.

The contract is initially for up to 3 years (1 year for Kolkata centre) or project completion, whichever is earlier. Extension is possible based on performance and project requirement.

C-DAC reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, change eligibility criteria, cancel any or all positions, or modify/cancel the selection process at any stage without notice.
