According to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar, weather activity was reported from several districts, including Kupwara, Handwara, Baramulla, Sopore, Ganderbal and Bandipora, besides parts of Srinagar, Poonch, Rajouri and Kishtwar. Officials said some areas, particularly in North and Central Kashmir, witnessed brief but intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds and hailstorm activity. Heavy rainfall also led to localized waterlogging in some low-lying areas of Srinagar.

The weather department advised people to remain indoors during thunderstorms and avoid taking shelter near electric poles, power lines, old trees and weak structures. Boating and shikara operations were also advised to be suspended during adverse weather conditions.
