1. PM Launches PM-PRANAM Scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM-PRANAM (Programme for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment and Amelioration of Mother Earth) scheme.

Total outlay: ₹2.11 lakh crore.

Objective: Reduce excessive use of chemical fertilizers, promote balanced nutrient use, and encourage sustainable agriculture.

2. India Successfully Tests Agni-Prime Missile

India successfully test-fired the Agni-Prime (Agni-P) ballistic missile from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha.

3. Indian Coast Guard Conducts ‘Sagar Raksha-IV’

The exercise involved multiple agencies, including the Indian Navy, Customs, Fisheries Department, CISF, and Marine Police.

Focus: Counter piracy, smuggling, illegal immigration, and maritime security.

4. RBI Ombudsman Report Released

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released its Annual Report on Ombudsman Schemes 2024–25.

5. India’s Forex Reserves Hit Record High

India and the UAE signed an enhanced trade partnership agreement.

The two countries aim to increase bilateral trade to US$200 billion by 2030.

7. IMF Lowers Global Growth Forecast

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reduced its global growth forecast for 2026 to 3.0%.

Reasons include geopolitical tensions, trade fragmentation, and energy price volatility.

Growth is expected to recover in 2027.
