Three Kashmir Train Services to Remain Suspended Till July 25 for Track Maintenance: Northern Railway
Banihal-Baramulla Rail Section to Undergo Essential Summer Maintenance; Passengers Advised to Check Train Status Before Travel
Northern Railway’s Jammu Division on Friday announced the temporary cancellation of three train services in the Kashmir Valley from July 11 to July 25, 2026, to facilitate essential track maintenance work on the Banihal-Baramulla rail section.
According to a statement issued by the Jammu Division, as per news agency JKNS, the maintenance work is being carried out to ensure passenger safety and improve railway operations during the summer season.

The statement said the maintenance is necessary to keep the railway track strong and safe, and to enable smooth train operations in the Valley.
As part of the maintenance schedule, the following train services will remain cancelled from July 11 to July 25, 2026, Train No. 74615 – Banihal to Baramulla. Train No. 74632 – Baramulla to Budgam. Train No. 74628 – Budgam to Banihal
Northern Railway has advised passengers to check the latest train status through the IRCTC website, IRCTC mobile application, or by contacting Rail Madad/139 before commencing their journey.

The Railways expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and sought the cooperation of passengers during the maintenance period.
