UR = Un-reserved, EWS = Economically Weaker Section, SC = Scheduled Caste, OBC(NCL) = Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD = Persons with Benchmark Disability. Key Eligibility Conditions
Candidates must have already passed the prescribed qualification as on the date of reckoning eligibility (31-07-2026); those awaiting results are not eligible.
Minimum 50% aggregate marks required (45% for SC and PwBD candidates against seats reserved for them).
Only regular full-time courses recognized by the concerned Board/University/Institute/NCVET/SCVT are considered; part-time, correspondence or distance-mode qualifications are not eligible.

Candidates holding higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent are not eligible.

Candidates who completed the prescribed qualification more than five years before the reckoning date are not eligible.
A candidate with B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) may apply for only Code 101 or Code 108, not both. A candidate with B.Com may apply for only Code 108 or Code 109, not both.
A candidate can apply for only one Trade/Discipline overall; applying for more than one leads to summary rejection.
For Code 108, candidates must choose either Panipat or New Delhi; applying for both locations leads to summary rejection.
PwBD candidates can apply only against identified seats under Codes 102, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110 and 111, and must submit a Disability Certificate as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017.

Stipend :
The stipend payable to apprentices shall be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended), and IOCL’s own guidelines. The exact monthly stipend amount is not specified in the notification.

Selection Process :
There is no written test for this recruitment.
Selection is based on percentage of marks (aggregate of all subjects across all years/semesters) obtained in the prescribed qualification, arranged in descending order, subject to meeting the notified eligibility criteria.
Preference is given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
In case of a tie in marks, the candidate senior in age (date of birth) is ranked higher; if the date of birth is also the same, higher marks in Matriculation are considered.
PwBD candidates who avail relaxation in eligibility qualification marks are considered against reserved seats in order of merit within the category, irrespective of their position in the overall select list.
Filling of seats is solely at the discretion of management based on candidate suitability; no claim arises if seats remain unfilled due to insufficient suitable candidates.
Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification based on merit list position and the number of seats in each Trade/Discipline.

How to Apply for IOCL Panipat Apprentice Recruitment 2026
The application process has two mandatory steps. Both must be completed for the application to be considered valid.
Step I: Registration and Application on NAPS/NATS Portal
For Codes 101, 102, 108, 109, 110 and 111: Register on the NAPS portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/. Select “Apprenticeship Opportunities,” search by location “IOCL, Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex,” and select the respective trade, then complete registration and login.
For Codes 104, 105, 106 and 107: Register on the NATS portal / Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) at https://nats. education.gov.in. After registration, apply to the IOCL Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex advertisement from the dashboard.

Step II: Filling Additional Details on Microsoft Forms
- After applying on the respective NAPS/NATS portal, visit www.iocl.com and submit details in the Microsoft Forms link.
- Submit only one response in the Microsoft Forms.
- Ensure the Enrolment No./Student ID/Registration No. and other details match exactly between Step I and Step II.
- Use the same email ID and mobile number as registered on the NAPS/NATS portal; both must remain valid for at least the next one year.

Important Instructions :
Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training in a different trade/discipline may apply again, subject to specific gap-period conditions (minimum 1 year gap generally; different conditions apply for employer-side termination, health/financial hardship, or relocation cases). No waiting period applies for women in the hardship-termination case.
Candidates whose previous apprenticeship was terminated due to their own failure to fulfil contract terms are not eligible to reapply.
The Corporation has no obligation to offer regular employment after completion of apprenticeship, and apprentices cannot claim employment rights on this basis.
Furnishing false or incorrect information at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature and possible criminal prosecution; engagement can also be terminated post-facto if discrepancies are found later.
Only those declared medically fit in the pre-engagement medical examination will be considered for engagement.
SC/ST/PwBD candidates appearing for Document Verification are reimbursed single second-class railway fare (shortest route, minimum 30 km distance) on production of tickets.
No HRA or company accommodation is provided to apprentices.
Leave admissible: 32 days General Leave (8 days/quarter, including medical grounds) and 12 days Casual Leave per calendar year (pro-rata); unavailed leave lapses at the end of the apprenticeship period.
Apprentices are covered under Accident Insurance and the Certified Standing Orders applicable to workmen at the training establishment.
Codes 101, 102, 104, 105, 106 and 107 apprentices are provided one pair of safety shoes and a helmet (returnable on completion of training), wherever applicable.
Canvassing in any form will render a candidate ineligible.
