Applications Invited for Research Assistant
Applications on plain paper along with a detailed bio-data and self-attested copies of testimonials/certificates are invited from eligible candidates for the position available under the ICSSR Research Project of Major & Minor Research Project (2025–26) titled:
“Buddhist Monuments: Pathways for Heritage Conservation and Tourism Development in Ladakh, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.”

Number of Vacancies: 02
Salary: ₹37,000 per month (Consolidated)
Duration of Appointment:
The appointment is initially for 06 months, which may be extended based on the requirements of the project and satisfactory performance.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
Option 1
- M.A. in Buddhist Studies, Social Anthropology, History, or Comparative Religion/Religious Studies.
- Minimum 55% marks.
- Candidates with NET and/or Ph.D. will be preferred.
Option 2
- MTTM or MBA (Tourism Management) with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Candidates with NET and/or Ph.D. will be preferred.
Desirable Qualifications :
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:
Excellent research writing skills.
Experience in primary data collection.
Knowledge of data processing, sampling design, and questionnaire design.
Experience in data analysis using SPSS/AMOS.
Willingness to travel for field data collection.
Terms and Conditions
The appointment will be governed by the following conditions:
The engagement will be purely temporary and on a short-term basis.
The appointment will remain co-terminus with the completion of the project.
The selected candidate will not have any claim for regular appointment in the University.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or any stage of the selection process.
The University reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or modify the selection process without assigning any reason.
