Selection for RITES Recruitment 2026 involves three stages – a written test, document scrutiny, and an interview – with a fixed weightage split between the written test and interview.

1. Written Test

The written test consists of 125 objective-type questions carrying one mark each, for a duration of 2.5 hours.

There is no negative marking; no marks are deducted for incorrect answers.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to upload documents that substantiate all claims made in the application form.

Candidates are called for interview in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies.

Weightage: Written Test – 60%, Interview – 40% (Technical & Professional proficiency: 30, Personality, Communication & Competency: 10). Total: 100%.

A minimum of 60% marks in the interview is required for UR/EWS candidates (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD against reserved posts) to be placed on the panel. There is no minimum qualifying mark required in the aggregate.

Candidates can appear for the selection process in either Hindi or English.

Based on RITES’s discretion, the written test and/or interview may be conducted at Regional Offices, which will be communicated with the call letters.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to being found medically fit as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness for the post.
