Jhelum Water Levels Under Close Watch, Urges People Not to Panic: Div Com Kashmir
Says Round-the-clock control rooms activated; residents near embankments advised to remain vigilant and follow official advisories
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Thursday said the rising water levels in the River Jhelum are being closely monitored by field teams, while divisional and district-level control rooms are functioning round the clock to coordinate preventive and remedial measures.
Divisional Commissioner as per news agency said, that the administration is maintaining constant surveillance over the river and all concerned departments have been directed to remain prepared for any eventuality.

“Rising water levels in the Jhelum are being monitored closely by field teams. Control Rooms at Divisional and district levels are working round the clock to coordinate preventive and remedial measures,” Garg said.
He appealed to people residing near the river embankments not to panic and advised them to remain alert, follow advisories issued by the local administration and immediately report any emergency.
The Divisional Commissioner further said that residents can contact the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Srinagar, on 01942740003 for any assistance or support.
