JKSSB Issues Instructions for Submission of Online Application Forms for 357 Public Works (R&B) Department Posts
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued detailed instructions for submission of online application forms for 357 posts in the Public Works (R&B) Department advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2026 dated 06.07.2026. Eligible candidates possessing a valid J&K Domicile Certificate and fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions can apply online.
Important Dates
Application Start Date: 01 August 2026 (12:00 AM)
Last Date to Submit Online Application: 30 August 2026 (11:59 PM)
Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 30 August 2026 (11:59 PM)
Mode of Application
Applications will be accepted only through the online mode on the official JKSSB portal. No other mode of application will be entertained.
Registration Process
Candidates must register on the JKSSB portal using a valid email ID and mobile number. After successful OTP verification, applicants are required to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) before applying for the advertised posts.
Documents Required
Live Photograph: Mandatory through face verification.
Signature: 10 KB to 20 KB (1.5 × 3.5 cm).
Category Certificate: PDF format, maximum 100 KB.
Qualification Certificate(s): PDF format, maximum 100 KB.
Important Instructions
Candidates should carefully verify all details before final submission, as the application form cannot be edited afterwards. Reservation benefits and other claims will be considered only if the required information is correctly filled in the application form and supported by valid certificates.
Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI. Applications without successful fee payment will be treated as incomplete.
Hard Copy of Application
No hard copy of the application form is required to be submitted, except by shortlisted candidates during the Document Verification (DV) stage. In-service candidates, however, must submit the printed application through the proper channel.

Candidates applying for the following posts must indicate their order of preference while filling the application form:
Draftsman (Civil): Item Nos. 93 & 94
Works Supervisor: Item Nos. 95 & 96
Live Face Verification Guidelines
Live face capture is mandatory for submission of the application form. Candidates should use a working laptop or mobile camera, ensure proper lighting, keep their face centred and clearly visible, and avoid using masks, caps, sunglasses, screenshots or uploaded photographs during verification.
