Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, Jammu/Srinagar has issued a detailed traffic advisory for commuters and transporters regarding the movement of traffic on NH-44 and other important routes, keeping in view road conditions, weather, convoy movement and the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
📢 Key Traffic Updates
Traffic Police has advised commuters to remain cautious while travelling on NH-44, particularly on stretches where the road surface is uneven, damaged or affected by weather conditions.
Due to single-lane traffic and ongoing road-related constraints near Udhampur, traffic movement may remain slow and regulated. Commuters are advised to follow the instructions of traffic personnel and avoid unnecessary overtaking.

In view of the possibility of intermittent rainfall and adverse weather conditions, commuters have been advised to undertake journeys only after confirming the status of the road from Traffic Police authorities.

Special arrangements have been made for smooth movement of traffic in view of the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026.
