Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu has invited applications from eligible domicile candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for engagement against vacant posts in GMC Jammu and its Associated Hospitals.
The appointments will be made on Academic Arrangement Basis under SRO-24 (now S.O. 364 dated 27.11.2020).
The engagement will initially be for one year, extendable up to a maximum period of six years, one year at a time, subject to satisfactory performance and conduct. The appointment will also remain subject to the post being filled on a substantive basis through the applicable recruitment rules, whichever is earlier.

1. Technical Supervisor
Number of Posts: 01
Pay Level: Level-7
Pay Scale: ₹44,900–₹1,42,400
Qualification:
12th Pass with Science stream; and
B.Sc. Nuclear Medicine, or DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine.
RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB.
Experience: 3 years as Chief Technician.
2. Chief Technician
Number of Posts: 01
Pay Level: Level-6F
Pay Scale: ₹40,800–₹1,29,200
Qualification :
12th Pass with Science stream; and
B.Sc. Nuclear Medicine, or DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine.
RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB.
Experience: 3 years as Senior Technician, Nuclear Medicine.
3. Senior Technician
Number of Posts: 01
Pay Level: Level-6E
Pay Scale: ₹35,900–₹1,13,500
Qualification :
12th Pass with Science stream; and
B.Sc. Nuclear Medicine, or DMRIT (Nuclear Medicine), or M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine.
RSO Level-II Certification recognized by AERB.
Experience: 3 years as Junior Technician, Nuclear Medicine.
4. Nuclear Medicine Assistant
Number of Posts: 01
Pay Level: Level-4
Pay Scale: ₹25,500–₹81,100
Qualification:
12th Pass with Science stream; and
B.Sc. Nuclear Medicine.

Printed on A4-size paper.
Computer typed and not handwritten.
Self-attested.
Accompanied by all required supporting documents.

on or before 31 August 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained, even if sent by post.
Important Terms & Conditions
The maximum permissible age is 63 years at the time of submission of the application.
The contractual appointment will not provide any preferential right or claim for regularization or regular appointment.
The appointment can be terminated before completion of the tenure by giving one month’s notice from either side.
The number of advertised posts may be increased or decreased according to the requirements of the institution without further notice.
The Selection Committee reserves the right not to fill any post if administrative exigencies so require.
Selection will be governed by the provisions of the J&K Reservation Act and Rules.
Service conditions relating to discipline and conduct will be governed by applicable J&K Civil Services Rules, regulations and orders.
No weightage will be given to qualifications higher than those prescribed for the post.
Incomplete applications will be rejected during scrutiny without prior notice.
Applications without the J&K Para Medical Council Registration Certificate will be rejected outright.
Any candidate found to have submitted false information, incorrect statements or suppressed material facts may become liable for criminal proceedings.
No application will be accepted after 31 August 2026.
Remuneration
In the case of a retired Government official, remuneration will be calculated as per the prescribed rules, involving the last pay drawn minus pension and the commuted portion of pension, subject to the minimum total emoluments being equal to the revised basic pay corresponding to the minimum of the pre-revised scale of the post under SRO-93 dated 15 April 2009, along with Dearness Allowance.
The contractual appointments will be made in accordance with the instructions contained in Government Order No. 528-JK (GAD) of 2021 dated 21 June 2021.

The applicant is also required to declare that the information provided is true, that they have not been debarred from appearing in any examination/interview, and that they have not been arrested, prosecuted or involved in a criminal case or convicted by a criminal court.
Candidates must also declare that, where applicable, their degree was obtained from the University headquarters and not from an off-campus centre established beyond the university’s territorial jurisdiction in case of Distance Mode. Wilful concealment of facts may result in cancellation of candidature and debarment from future selections.
