PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Aglar, Shopian (J&K-UT) has invited eligible female candidates for a walk-in interview for engagement as Matron on a contractual basis for the academic session 2026–27.
Recruitment Details
The engagement is for 01 Matron position on a contractual basis.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Educational Qualification: Minimum Class 10th (Matriculation) pass. Candidates with higher educational qualifications will be given preference.
Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
Marital Status: Married female candidates, including widows and divorcees without encumbrances, can apply.
Age Limit: The candidate should be between 35 and 55 years of age as on the date of the interview.
Remuneration: Payment will be made as per the minimum wages prescribed by the Government for unskilled workers.
Facilities Provided
The selected Matron will be provided free boarding and lodging along with the girl students.
Medical facilities will also be available through the M.R. Room of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

The selected Matron will be required to reside in the dormitory allotted to the girl students and perform the duties associated with the supervision and care of the residential girl students.
