The Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, under the Health & Medical Education Department, has issued an engagement order for the appointment of a candidate as Technical Assistant/Technician on an academic arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27 November 2020.
The order has been issued with reference to Advertisement Notice No. 05 GMCA of 2026 dated 09 March 2026.

The engagement has been made pursuant to the selection list issued through Notification No. GMCA/Estt./Rec./2026/4745-49 dated 20 May 2026. The selected candidate submitted his Personal Verification Roll (PVR) online to the Criminal Investigation Department for verification, and the verification form was subsequently received by GMC Anantnag.

The selected candidate has been directed to join GMC Anantnag at the main campus, Dialgam, within 21 days from the date of publication of the engagement order.

Important Terms & Conditions
1. Joining within 21 Days
If the selected candidate does not join within 21 days from the publication of the order, the engagement will be treated as cancelled ab-initio, meaning it will be considered cancelled from the beginning.
2. Verification of Documents
Any impersonation, submission of fabricated or tampered documents, incorrect statements, or suppression of material information can lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action. If such a violation is detected after selection, the contract may also be terminated.
3. Affidavit Requirement
The candidate is required to submit an affidavit duly attested by a Judicial/1st Class Magistrate confirming various conditions, including the authenticity of qualification, date of birth, marks, reserved-category and domicile certificates.
The affidavit also requires the candidate to confirm that:
No claim will be made for a regular appointment in the department.
The candidate will not participate in any strike during the tenure.
The candidate will maintain discipline during the period of service.
The candidate is not involved in any criminal/sub-judice activity or has any FIR/court case pending or registered.
The candidate understands that the engagement is purely on an academic arrangement basis.
No claim for regularization or extension beyond the permissible period will be made.
4. Temporary Nature of Engagement
The engagement is purely temporary, initially for one year, and will continue only subject to satisfactory performance and availability of the position. The engagement may end earlier if the position is filled through regular appointment.
5. No Right to Regular Appointment
The contractual engagement does not confer any right to claim extension or regular appointment at any stage.
6. Court Case Condition
The engagement will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petition pending before a competent court of law.
7. Salary/Payment
The salary of the engaged candidate will be withheld until the required verification report of documents/testimonials is received from the concerned authorities. Payment will be drawn/disbursed after the verification process is completed.
