Government Polytechnic College Doda has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty for the Academic Session November–December 2026. The recruitment is open to eligible candidates who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

Vacancy and Disciplines
The engagement is for Guest Faculty in the following disciplines:
1. Civil Engineering
Candidates must possess a Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
2. Mechanical Engineering

Candidates must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 55% marks.
3. OMCA
Candidates must possess an M.Com or Three-Year Diploma in OMCA with at least 55% marks from a recognized university/board.
4. English
Candidates must have an M.A. in English with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
5. Computer Engineering
Candidates must possess a Degree in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Applications with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
6. Chemistry
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
7. Physics
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The minimum educational qualification varies according to the discipline. Generally, candidates are required to have the relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s, M.Com, or Diploma qualification with a minimum of 55% marks, as specified for each discipline.
Candidates should ensure that their qualification is from a recognized university/board and that they meet the discipline-specific requirements before applying.
Selection Criteria
As per the notification, selection will be based on the following point system:
80 points for basic qualification, on a pro-rata basis.
5 points for higher qualification.
5 points for GATE/NET/SET qualification.
5 points for teaching experience at Polytechnic Diploma level or higher level, on a pro-rata basis, with 1 point for each academic year.
5 points for interaction with the concerned candidates.
Guest Faculty Remuneration
The remuneration for the selected Guest Faculty will be paid according to the conditions prescribed under Government Order No. 89-JK(DSD) of 2021 dated November 18, 2021.
The notification does not mention a separate fixed monthly salary in the advertisement; therefore, candidates should refer to the applicable government rules for remuneration details.
Nature and Conditions of Engagement
The Guest Faculty engagement will be subject to the following conditions:
The engagement will be purely on Guest Faculty norms and will be valid for only one academic session.
Engagement will be made only against clear vacancies.
Remuneration will be paid as per applicable government norms.
Selected candidates will have to submit an undertaking/affidavit duly authenticated by a First Class Magistrate before joining.
The undertaking must clearly state that the candidate will not claim continuation of services.
The agreement/engagement may be terminated at any point without any notice period.

Important Instructions for Selected Candidates
Before joining, selected candidates must submit an undertaking/affidavit authenticated by a First Class Magistrate, clearly accepting the conditions of Guest Faculty engagement and stating that they will not claim continuation of their services.
The engagement is temporary and session-based and should not be treated as regular/permanent employment.
