Eligibility for Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)
As mentioned in the recruitment notice:
Women candidates in the age group of 18 to 37 years will be considered.
The candidate should be a domicile of the UT of J&K.
The candidate should belong to the electoral ward where the concerned Anganwadi Centre is located.
The candidate must satisfy the prescribed educational qualification and other conditions laid down under the applicable government guidelines.
The selection will primarily be based on merit/marks obtained in the prescribed qualification, subject to the applicable recruitment criteria.

Eligibility for Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper)
Women candidates aged 18 to 37 years are eligible.
The applicant must be a domicile of the UT of J&K.
Preference/eligibility is linked to the electoral ward in which the Anganwadi Centre is located.
The minimum prescribed qualification for Anganwadi Helper is Matriculation (10th pass).
In case no suitable candidate is available from the concerned ward, the notice provides for consideration of candidates from the nearest ward within the Panchayat, as per the applicable rules.
Selection Process
The selection of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) will be carried out according to the criteria prescribed by the Government.
For Anganwadi Workers, merit is to be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed educational qualification. Where eligible candidates have equal marks, the applicable tie-breaking provisions will be followed.
For Anganwadi Helpers, candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions will be considered in accordance with the notified selection procedure.
The notice also states that preference may be given to a candidate with higher qualification/merit where applicable, while ensuring that candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
