The Central University of Jammu (CU Jammu), through its Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, has invited applications for the recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) convertible to PhD. The selected candidate will be required to pursue a PhD under the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.

B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering; and
1871 Posts: SSC Recruitment 2026-Apply Online
M.Tech./M.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering.
Candidates must also have a valid GATE/NET/NET-JRF qualification.
Nature of the Position
The selected candidates will be appointed as JRFs with the requirement to pursue a PhD under the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences.
The PhD registration will be under the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, with mentorship from the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, Central University of Jammu. The PhD will be governed by the rules of the Central University of Jammu.

Stipend
Selected JRF candidates will receive:
First two years: ₹37,000 per month + HRA as per Central University of Jammu norms.
Third year: ₹42,000 per month + HRA, subject to continuation of the project.
If the project is discontinued: ₹25,000 per month will be provided from the University fund (IRG).
