Important Instructions for Candidates

The Office of the Controller of Examinations, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, has issued important instructions for candidates appearing in the recruitment tests scheduled on 15 September 2026, 22 September 2026, 29 September 2026 and 5 October 2026. Candidates have been advised to strictly follow all examination rules to ensure the smooth, fair and secure conduct of the test.

Examination Timing and Reporting Time

The examination will commence at 2:00 PM.

Candidates must report to their allotted examination centre sufficiently in advance so that they have enough time to complete entry and identity-verification formalities.

Important Entry Deadline

Entry to the examination centre will close at 1:30 PM.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination centre or examination hall after 1:30 PM under any circumstances.

Therefore, candidates should avoid reaching the centre at the last minute and should plan their journey accordingly.

Documents Candidates Must Carry

Candidates are required to bring only the following items to the examination centre:

Admit Card

One valid Government-recognized Photo Identity Proof

These documents must be produced whenever required by the examination authorities for verification.

Pen and Stationery Instructions

Candidates do not need to bring their own pen.

According to the notice, pens will be provided by the Centre Superintendent at the beginning of the examination. Candidates must return the provided pen(s) to the invigilation staff after completing the test.

Important Advisory Regarding Prohibited Items

Candidates are specifically advised not to bring prohibited items to the examination centre, as arrangements for keeping such items safely may not be available.

Conduct During the Examination

Candidates must maintain strict discipline throughout the examination.

They are required to follow all instructions issued by the Centre Superintendent and Invigilators during the test and cooperate with the examination staff.

Unfair Means and Disciplinary Action

The University has made it clear that candidates found using or attempting to use unfair means may face appropriate action under the applicable rules.

Action may be taken against candidates involved in:

Copying

Communicating with other candidates

Possessing or using unauthorized material

Using unauthorized electronic devices

Impersonation

Misbehavior

Leaving the Examination Hall

Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall before the stipulated completion time of the examination.

An exception may be made only in circumstances specifically permitted by the examination authorities.

All candidates are required to help maintain a peaceful and orderly examination environment. They should extend full cooperation to the examination staff and comply with directions given during the examination.

No Relaxation in Entry Time
