J&K Assembly Day 2 To Take Up Cooperative Bill, Resolution On TET Exemption
House To Consider And Pass Cooperative Societies Amendment Bill; Sakeena Itoo To Move Resolution Seeking TET Exemption For Teachers Appointed Before 2019
Srinagar, Sep 21 : The second day of the autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, scheduled for Tuesday, will take up Question Hour followed by government business, including consideration and passing of the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
As per the List of Business issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, a copy of which lies with news agency stated that, Minister for Cooperatives Javid Ahmad Dar will move the Bill for consideration and also seek its passage.

The Bill seeks to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies Act, 1989, repeal the Jammu and Kashmir Self-Reliant Cooperative Act, 1999, and provide transitional arrangements for self-reliant cooperatives under the 1989 Act.
Minister for School Education Sakeena Itoo will also move a resolution urging the Union Government to make necessary statutory amendments to Section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.
The resolution seeks exemption of all teachers appointed before January 1, 2019, from appearing in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
It further urges the Union Government to take all legal steps and issue the requisite notification through the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for exemption from TET.
