1. Dedicated High Court Bench Approved for Ladakh
The Union Cabinet approved the establishment of a dedicated Bench of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in Ladakh. The move is aimed at improving access to justice for residents of the Union Territory and reducing the need to travel outside Ladakh for High Court-related matters.
Exam Point: The J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019 provides for a common High Court for the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
2. PM Modi Addresses Economic Times World Leaders Forum
