Jammu and Kashmir Weather: Weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir are expected to remain largely dry and stable over the next few days, with generally clear to partly cloudy skies. According to the latest India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast issued on September 23, no weather warning is in place for J&K through September 27.
The weather is likely to see a change from September 28, when the IMD has indicated the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and squally conditions over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Similar activity is also expected on September 29.
In Jammu city, temperatures are expected to remain relatively warm during the coming days. The IMD forecast indicates maximum temperatures around 34–35°C through September 27, with mainly clear skies. A possibility of rain or thunderstorm is indicated from September 28, along with a drop in maximum temperature.
The broader forecast suggests that residents can expect pleasant and mostly settled weather in the immediate term, while the possibility of thunderstorms toward the end of the week may bring a change in conditions.
