“Rain, Snow, Likely From Oct 6-9 in J&K”: MET
Light to moderate rain expected at scattered to many places from Oct 9; light snow likely over higher reaches
Srinagar, Oct 2 : Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness a change in weather pattern from October 6, with the Meteorological Department forecasting light rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds at some places, followed by a possibility of light to moderate rain across wider areas from October 9.
Director Meteorological Department Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, as per news agency JKNS, said the weather is expected to remain generally dry from October 2 to 5.
He said partly to generally cloudy weather is likely from October 6 to 8, with light rain and light snowfall over higher reaches along with thunder and gusty winds at a few places.
From October 9 to 10, generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds is expected at scattered to many places, he said.
The Director said partly cloudy weather is likely to prevail from October 11 to 14.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has advised farmers to continue harvesting of apples and paddy along with other agricultural operations during the period. (JKNS)
