The Department of Civil Engineering, Central University of Kashmir, Tulmulla, Ganderbal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for one Research Associate position under a HEFA-sponsored research project. The appointment will be purely on a contractual basis.
Research Associate Vacancy 2026
The recruitment is being conducted for the research project titled “Development and Demonstration of Waste-Derived Geopolymer Technology for Sustainable and Carbon-Neutral Road Infrastructure at Central University of Kashmir.” The project is sponsored by the Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) and is being carried out under the supervision of Dr. Asif Hussain Shah, Principal Investigator, Department of Civil Engineering.
Vacancy Details
There is 01 vacancy for the post of Research Associate. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Research Associate position must fulfil the following essential qualifications:
M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
Candidates must have a CGPA of 6.5 or at least 60% marks.
At least two years of research experience in Geopolymer Technology is required.

Duration of Engagement
The duration of the Research Associate position is three years. The appointment will remain contractual and subject to the terms and conditions applicable to the project and the University.

Important Instructions
The University has specified that the appointment is purely temporary and will not create any right to permanent appointment in the University.
The engagement may be terminated by the University at any time, without assigning a reason, by giving one week’s notice. The remuneration will be paid as a consolidated honorarium and no other allowances will be admissible.
Any corrigendum related to the recruitment will be uploaded only on the Central University of Kashmir website. Candidates will not be paid any TA/DA for attending the interview or joining the position.
The interview date for shortlisted candidates will be notified separately. The terms and conditions of the engagement will be governed by the rules and regulations of the University and/or the funding agency, as applicable.
