KVIC Young Professional Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification prescribed for the relevant Young Professional discipline. Only full-time regular courses are to be considered, and the qualifications must be obtained from a UGC-recognized Indian University, a UGC-recognized Indian Deemed University or through an AICTE-approved course, as applicable.
Where a CGPA, OGPA or letter grade has been awarded instead of a percentage, candidates must indicate the equivalent percentage according to the conversion norms of the University or Institute and produce proof of the conversion formula when required for document verification.
Internship training is not to be treated as work experience. The notifications state that only direct work experience, including fixed-term employment in an organization, will be considered as work experience.

KVIC Young Professional Job Description
Young Professionals are expected to provide high-quality professional inputs in their respective disciplines. The work may include data analysis, project management, evaluation of schemes and programmes, start-up and innovation activities, special studies including feasibility studies, compliance supervision, training and development, implementation monitoring and other related work assigned by KVIC.

The KVIC Young Professional selection process is based on qualification, experience and performance in the personal interview.

Nature and Duration of Engagement
The Young Professionals will initially be engaged on a contractual basis for one year. Further continuation or extension may be considered on the basis of performance and requirement, for up to a further two years. A fresh contract is required for continuation or extension.
The Young Professionals will not be treated as regular KVIC staff and will not be entitled to claim absorption or regularization in KVIC merely because of the contractual engagement.

KVIC Young Professional Important Instructions
- Only full-time regular qualifications from the recognized institutions specified in the notification will be considered.
- Candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions by the applicable last date.
- CGPA/OGPA or letter grades must be converted into percentage according to the University’s or Institute’s prescribed norms, and proof of the conversion formula must be produced when required.
- Internship training will not be counted as work experience.
- Candidates should use a valid email ID and mobile number and keep them active throughout the recruitment process.
- The name entered during registration should match the name appearing on the photo identity proof.
- Candidates must produce the original photo identity proof and provide a photocopy when attending the interview.

Contractual Terms
- The initial contract period is one year.

- No extra remuneration is payable for working beyond normal working hours or on holidays.
- Young Professionals are eligible for eight days of leave in a single year of consultancy.
- Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward to the next one-year tenure.
- Intervening Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays during a spell of leave will not be counted against the eight days of leave.
- Young Professionals must maintain confidentiality and secrecy regarding information obtained during the assignment.
- Selected candidates must provide integrity certificates from two references along with an undertaking regarding criminal record or pending/contemplated criminal cases.
- Young Professionals are responsible for arranging and maintaining appropriate insurance at their own expense.
- Income Tax or other applicable State tax will be deducted at source according to prevailing rules.
- Young Professionals are required to comply with the applicable rules and regulations of KVIC and the Government of India.
- Either KVIC or the Young Professional may terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice as specified in the notification.
