Eligibility Criteria for Territorial Army Recruitment 2026

1. Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as on the date of recruitment.

2. Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for Soldier General Duty must fulfil the following educational requirements:

• Must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation).

• Must secure at least 45% marks in aggregate.

• Must secure at least 33% marks in each subject.

For education boards following a grading system, candidates must have a minimum of Grade 10 (33–40) in individual subjects, or a grade containing 33%, along with an overall aggregate of C2 grade or its equivalent corresponding to 45% aggregate marks.

3. Tattoo Restrictions

Candidates having tattoos visible while wearing physical training dress are not eligible for recruitment.

4. Domicile Certificate

Candidates must possess a domicile certificate, as applicable.

Physical Standards for Soldier GD Recruitment

Candidates must meet the following physical standards:

Height: 160 cm

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army Medical Standards.

Chest: 82 cm, with a minimum of 77 cm unexpanded.

• Entry through the main gate will open at 0700 hours and close at 0900 hours.
