5.5-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan, Tremors Felt in Jammu Kashmir

SRINAGAR: A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan late Sunday night, with tremors reported in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and several neighbouring regions.

According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 11:14:22 pm IST on October 25, 2026.

Tremors were also felt in Delhi, Punjab, Pakistan and Tajikistan, according to the information available.

There were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property in Jammu and Kashmir.
